Stewart Tagg brings more than 28 years of teaching experience to Kaikorai Valley College, having worked in classrooms across New Zealand, the Middle East, and London. A specialist in English, Stewart joined KVC in May 2023 and is known for his collegial, positive, and approachable nature. Deeply committed to nurturing the mana of every individual, he believes in the transformative power of strong, respectful relationships between students and educators.
For Stewart, one of the most rewarding parts of his work is witnessing students develop confidence and a true sense of belonging. He views education as a long-term, collaborative endeavour—like building cathedrals, where the lasting impact of each contribution might not be seen immediately, but is deeply meaningful. Outside of school,Stewart loves obsessively listening to BBC Radio6, watching good tv and film, and reading sad and beautiful books.
