My background was originally as an NZ Registered Nurse (very useful as a first aider!) I have been working in administration for 35 years.
I started working at KVC as EA to the Principal and Board Secretary in 2009.
The strengths I bring to my role include patience, multitasking, great office software skills, confidentiality and discretion, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills. I value honesty and integrity, kindness, patience, laughter, and straight talking.
I enjoy everything about KVC! The camaraderie, the willingness to go that extra mile for each other, and the kindness and integrity shown to everyone. I love my work - the staff, students, and whānau interactions, its variety, its depth, and the constant learning (often on the fly!)
In my area, I see a variety of students in different stages of their development and growth. It is so rewarding to see the changes that happen as they move through the school. I love to see the achievements of our students as they strive to do their very best and the encouragement they receive in order to succeed.
My hobbies: CrossFit and the gym, Scrabble, and baking magnificent cakes.
I didn’t attend KVC - I grew up in England and Northern Ireland and attended my last few years of high school at St Dominic’s College.
