Cameron joined Kaikorai Valley College in 2022, bringing with him experience as a primary-trained teacher with a focus on Years 7 and 8. Since beginning his teaching career in 2018, Cameron has specialised in the intermediate years, where he builds strong foundations for learning and personal growth. Known for his calm presence and ability to form positive, respectful relationships with students, he approaches teaching with empathy and purpose. He believes that meaningful connections are at the heart of effective teaching, reflecting the words of John Maxwell: “Students don't care how much you know until they know how much you care.”
What Cameron enjoys most about working at KVC is the collegial spirit among staff and the genuine care they show for each student’s wellbeing and educational journey. He finds it incredibly rewarding to see the growth that students make during their time in Junior College, and to witness them continue to flourish as they move through secondary school. Outside of school, Cameron enjoys staying active, playing sports, and spending time with his partner and dog.
